Costs of Installation & Ongoing Costs

$750 outright purchase $125 per qtr lease - Solo GP, 07/12 0:32
Cheap High quality versatile and intuitive to install and use. The hardest part of this system is medclaims and thats due to medclaims itself not Pracsoft - Group GP, 06/12 20:30
Less than one thousand dollars per year, which is small in the scheme of things. - Group GP, 3/1/99 9:14
$1500 purchase included support - Group GP, 7/1/99 18:12
Very good value, affordability was an important criterion in initial choice - Group GP, 10/1/99 16:52
Inexpencive, good support, dont keep the database on a NT machine, This can cause problems, works fine under win95 - Group GP, 27/2/99 12:42 PM
Low initial cost but adding new names is expensive - Group GP, 18/11/99 11:00 AM

Time involved in establishing the package

About 5 minutes! - Solo GP, 07/12 0:32
It could have been very quick but we opted for a two months time with the network installed s\for staff to aid to do tutorials and play with it. This reasured us re stability and also ensured staff owned the system and the minor teething problems like new letterhead and new printers etc. - Group GP, 06/12 20:30
It took quite a bit of time to understand and debug the entire setup. Billing and receipting was straight forward, however. - Group GP, 3/1/99 9:14
we were a test site and made a progressive transition from an old system - hard to say - Group GP, 7/1/99 18:12
Not much time spent in setting but we had 15 years experience with our previous billing software - Group GP, 10/1/99 16:52
moderate. Had help with cabeling and the radio modem for internet access. - Group GP, 27/2/99 12:42 PM
Four months by the time we had transferred large debtors database to Pracsoft by keying - Group GP, 18/11/99 11:00 AM

Excellent. Peter Murphy was always at the end of the phone when needed. He even fixed up some of our tables remotely over a dial-in connection. - Group GP, 3/1/99 9:14
excellent support - Group GP, 7/1/99 18:12
Excellent support, usually immediately available. - Group GP, 10/1/99 16:52
good, very helpfull - Group GP, 27/2/99 12:42 PM

Functionallity & Benefits of the Sytem

Does everything its supposed to efficiently - Solo GP, 07/12 0:32
This replaces a year 2000 non compliant system that we are very happy with so it had a lot to live up to and has done very well. - Group GP, 06/12 20:30
The appointments module has been a great boon to the practice. - Group GP, 3/1/99 9:14
It does everything we need. - Group GP, 7/1/99 18:12
Efficient and user-friendly, good accuracy and reliability - Group GP, 10/1/99 16:52
pracsoft does accounts well and integrated with MDW well. - Group GP, 27/2/99 12:42 PM
Good day-to-day functionality. All round performance spoiled by file locking and difficulty with data transfers between main and branch practice - even using ISDN - Group GP, 18/11/99 11:00 AM

Suggestions and Improvements

The appointment book needs slight changes to make it more functional - Solo GP, 07/12 0:32
Any I have had are incorporated or will be, that is how obliging the developrers are. - Group GP, 06/12 20:30
Plenty. Many of our suggestions have already been incorporated. I would really like to be able to colour code individual appointment times, however. - Group GP, 3/1/99 9:14
An Appointment Icon to show patients clinical record is paperless (on MDW2) - Group GP, 7/1/99 18:12
More comprehensive and flexible reporting options would be desirable - Group GP, 10/1/99 16:52
Appointment book needs some improvments (ment to be in next version) ie a week at a view format and a small calander selector to speed up date selection. - Group GP, 27/2/99 12:42 PM
SQL compatible version please!! - Group GP, 18/11/99 11:00 AM

Other comments. To whom would you recommend the Package

Anyone - Solo GP, 07/12 0:32
Because of the reasonable price and the access database structure to data storage this is a fantastic system , that has inbuilt guarantee of having transportable data and data that communicates with many systems . The seamless interface with Medical Director was a major bonus. - Group GP, 06/12 20:30
I would and have recommended this software to others. It suffers from occasional database locking as do many billing programs. Maybe one day it will port to SQL!?! - Group GP, 3/1/99 9:14
any GP. some Specialists - Group GP, 7/1/99 18:12
Suitable for users at all levels of experience - Group GP, 10/1/99 16:52
anyone who wants a cheap good accounting package. The appointments arent what I want but a lot of people use them. - Group GP, 27/2/99 12:42 PM
Would be good software for a small to medium sized practice without branch surgery operations. - Group GP, 18/11/99 11:00 AM
