Zinc oxide 7.5

Cetostearyl alcohol 2
White beeswax 10
Arachis oil 30.5
Uses: As an emollient to soothe andmoisturise the skin. Also protective with mild astringent properties.Commonly used for mild dermatological conditions such as eczema and dermatitis. Alsouseful for nappy rash.

Additional information: Thispreparation is much easier to apply and is a useful alternative to zincointment.

Directions for use: Apply sparingly asrequired to the affected areas. For eczema and dermatitis, the areasshould be washed with a soap alternative (eg. aqueous cream) and patted dry. Theointment should then be applied as soon as possible before the skin dries, and as required during the day. For nappy rash, asoap alternative should also be used, and the ointment applied similiarly (together with an antifungal agent where indicated).The ointment should then be reapplied following each nappy change. Parents should be encouraged to not use nappies wherepossible until the rash settles.

Precautions for use: Contains whitebeeswax which is produced from the bee honeycomb. Some hypersensitivityreactions have been reported.
