/STRONG> STANDARDS: - Defibrillation may be performed by any registered nurse accredited to Emergency Care Protocol (E.C.P).
- E.C.P protocol guidelines are to be followed at all times.
- Goal is to establish and document that patient is definitely a life threatening rhythm i.e. VF/VT compromising satisfactory circulation and consciousness. Action is to deliver appropriate defibrillationeffectively and restore normal cardiac rhythm and output.
